Some studies suggest melatonin may reduce the frequency and duration of seizures in children with epilepsy. But other studies suggest melatonin may increase the frequency of seizures. Do not take melatonin for epilepsy or give it to a child without talking to your doctor first.
In the U.S. melatonin is currently classified as a dietary supplement and not subject to FDA approval. In Europe, melatonin is classified as a neurohormone and cannot be sold over the counter. There is very little data on the toxicology of melatonin.

Думаю, что надо начать с установления причины хр. фурункулеза (иммунные?, обменные? нарушения....), потому что при таких вводных, эффективность терапии АЭПами может быть крайне снижена.
