If you submitted a cost reimbursement or ticket refund claim against Malév
– with consideration that presently a liquidation process is on the way – you should re-submit such claim within the framework of the liquidation process. Please consult our updated website about the procession to be followed (
www.malev.hu). In the course of the liquidation only those claims will be considered which are submitted according to the requirement.
If you submitted a ticket refund claim at an earlier stage against Malév you should re-submit it depending on the place of purchase and the method of payment as follows. In the course of the refund only those claims will be considered which are submitted according to the requirement.
· if you paid by bank card or through PayPal (online, travel agency, Malév ticketing office), we suggest that you contact your bank about the refund options;
· if you purchased your ticket in a travel agency for cash or by bank transfer, you should submit your refund claim to the travel agency by 2 March;
· if you purchased a package holiday including the air ticket in a travel agency, please turn to the travel agency about a refund;
· if you purchased your air ticket in a Malév office for cash or by bank transfer, please read our information about the procession of liquidation (
www.malev.hu). A decision on reimbursement of claims is expected to be handled within the bankruptcy procedure and in compliance with the provisions of effective laws;
· if you purchased your ticket issued for Malév flights by any other airline, please approach the airline that sold the ticket;
· if you paid for taxes and charges on a Malév frequent flyer ticket by bank card, please turn to your bank;
· if you paid for taxes and charges on a Malév frequent flyer ticket by transfer please read our information dated on 15 February 2012 about the procession of liquidation (
www.malev.hu). Decision on reimbursement of claims is expected to be handled within the bankruptcy procedure and in compliance with the provisions of effective laws;
· if you purchased a ticket for another airline using Malév frequent flyer points, please approach the airline in question;
· if you purchased a Malév air ticket issued for the flight of another airline, please read our information about the process of liquidation (

3. If you submitted a claim based on Government Decree No. 5/2012 (I. 31.), please be advised that negotiations concerning the possible claim handling procedures are currently taking place among the parties designated and the Ministry of National Development.
